History of this Kompong Cham Province

Sdach Korn was the King of Cambodia sine 1212-1225. He was the Cham Blood migrated to Cambodia after the Kingdom of Champa lost war with Cambodia and Vietnam. His sister married to the King of Cambodia just very soon after the King visited to the floating village. The place where this King meet this Muslim Girl named later as Srey Sar Chor and renaming to day as Srey Santhor.


The King as well as the Royal Crown Bureau conducted a traditional religious  prediction and suggested that the guy who have been born in the year of Dragon will be the coming King in the Kingdom of Cambodia. The royal palace have been organized " an assassination project " targeted His Brother In-Law ( Sdach Korn). But because of the Queen Spying, Her brother have been survived at the time after long journey in the river. The King of Cambodia have been killed and He became the King of Cambodia sine 1212. The Country have been moved into development state as researchers finding coins (cash) circulation and big port at the time. The Civil War was in place between the Khmer King supported by Siam. Sdach Korn have been killed in 1225 after 13 years of civil war.

Why is Sdach Korn been killed? Because He was the Muslim Blood!

Cham Insurgency in the year of 1800 was the result of this history as they said the Kompong Cham is the Kingdom of Cham !

This is the reason of other province near by namely Kongpong Thom and repartition of Muslim across villages in Cambodia.
